Technical Trainer - Production

Seeking first rate qualified technical trainer with extensive experience in composite aircraft manufacturing. You will be responsible for preparing technical training programs and conducting regular training. In this role, you must have a great attention to detail and excellent people skills. This role is for a hands-on person. You must quickly learn and understand the unique bonding and assembly processes used in the production of these aircraft. In addition, you may help refine and improve the new hire training processes and assist in developing new course content.

Outside of conducting training courses, you will work hands on along with shop floor personnel to produce top quality aircraft and spaceships and contribute to process improvement using lean processes and tools.

Adhere and follow all Safety Procedures and educate students on TSC specific processes and acceptable workmanship
Prepare training material and prep area for class
Act as instructor for new hires or other course attendees
Help fine tune student skills to maximize efficiency
Evaluate class participants for supervisor review
Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills
Assist in developing training content for new hire and existing shop floor personnel by working with Leads, Supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers to incorporate appropriate skills into training project
Develop and edit new course material in various formats such as Computer Based Training, Video, Hands On Activities and PowerPoint presentations
Encourage and provide development and training opportunities for shop personnel through excellent coaching and leadership skills

Professional Requirements

10 plus years of extensive experience with composites or aircraft assembly (systems installation a plus)
1-2 years of demonstrated success training other staff
Recent hands on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated presentation skills
Effective team player
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills
Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection
Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus
Experience with manufacturing based ERP systems a plus
Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)
