Summary:
Seeking a Principal Software Engineer - This position will be located in Huntsville, AL, and will support The Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) program. IBCS's enhanced aircraft and missile tracking improve the ability of combatant commanders and air defenders to make critical decisions within seconds. With its truly open systems architecture, IBCS enables integration of current and future sensors and weapon systems and interoperability with joint C2 and the Ballistic Missile Defense System
If you have a background in Computer science or Math/Physics, this position is for you. This position:
Designs develops, tests the functionality
Designs and develops algorithms
Development in an agile environment with multiple teams collaborating
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Qualifications - External
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Math/ Physics/ Engineering (and 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 Years with Masters)
• Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Experience with working in a fast pace, agile environment with the ability to work on cross-functional Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
• This position requires development experience and knowledge of Link-16
• Experience with C++, Java, Java JNI.
o Familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery, and Automated testing
o Familiarity with version control software ( eg Git/SVN ), Jira/ atlassian confluence
o Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
o Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), Scaled Agile Framework

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Air & Missile Defense Command and Control programs such as PATRIOT, SENTINEL, C2BMC, GMD, or THAAD or any sensor/weapon system
