CASA 212 Contract Pilot

Job description. 
Responsible for safe conduct of all assigned flights while operating the aircraft in accordance with company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations and aircraft limitations. Provides leadership and promoting a "zero incident safety culture. Provides safe, comfortable, and efficient transport of passengers and materials. Provides ethical and responsible representation for the company when dealing with business associates, officials, and customers per company policies. Performs pilot duties as assigned on any of the aircraft in the fleet. Performs the duties of second-in-command as assigned. Performs limited office duties as assigned in support of company needs. Typically 0 - 3 years of experience. Entry level. Requires basic knowledge of discipline. Uses established procedures to solve standard, straight-forward problems. Has the ability to perform routine assignments based on detailed instructions/past practices.
This is an intermittent assignment used as needed to backfill Casa 212 First Officers. Potentially 50-100 days per year. Please see attachment for further details.
CASA 212 Contract Pilot
Global Aviation Services is currently recruiting for a part-time CASA 212 contract Pilot based on the North Slope of Alaska. The incumbent of this assignment serves as Second-in-Command on  Alaska-operated CASA 212 aircraft in the transportation of Company-approved passengers and cargo. Assignment is based at the Alpine facility on the North Slope with a one- week shift schedule.
Education:  College degree or demonstrated aviation experience preferred.
Licenses:     FAA pilot certificate, with commercial, instrument rating, Airline Transport Pilot certificate preferred.  Must have a valid passport and FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit.
Medical:               Valid, current US FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
Experience:         1000 hours total time, 100 hours of airplane Pilot in Command time, 500 hours of multi-engine airplane time, 100 hours of multi-engine airplane Pilot in Command time, and additional requirements of 14CFR Part 91.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Works to maintain and promote the  Alaska, Inc. zero rate incident safety culture while employing efficient procedures that support customer service.
  2. Under the direction of the Captain, assists in the operation of the aircraft.
  3. Checks weather conditions, forecasts, and NOTAMS as assigned by the Captain.
  4. Performs navigational and communication functions in coordination with the Captain.
  5. Performs a preflight and post flight inspection of the aircraft and reporting to the Captain when the inspection has been completed.
  6. Maintains aircraft forms as assigned by the Captain.
  7. Ensures proper fuel load and distribution prior to departure.
  8. Ascertains that the appropriate navigation charts and manuals are current.
  9. Maintains working knowledge of aircraft and ground security procedures.
