Our client has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Structural Liaison Engineer with 15+ years of experience to review and provide dispositions to non-conforming composite and metallic detail part and assembly withholding tags. This role will be responsible for Boeing Commercial structure and/or systems repair creation therefore familiarity with Aerospace Material Review Board processing and Boeing D-13709-4 'Requirements of Obtaining Material Review Board Authority by Boeing Subcontractors' specifications is a must and should be capable of conveying engineering dispositions part/assembly meeting design intent. 

Responsibilities

Provide MRB Engineering Support to Operations to address issues occurring during the fabrication of aircraft and/or aircraft components in support of the Boeing programs.
Liaison Engineering functions to include investigation of mfg. issues, design of repairs, engineering support to manufacturing for dwg/spec interpretation, coordinating efforts across a multiple functional organization, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, Materiel, and Manufacturing.
Coordinates with other engineering organizations to ensure that repairs meet customer and contractual requirements. 
Provides technical assistance and direction to team members as required.
Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives while working under limited supervision; work should only be required to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Qualifications

Successful candidates typically possess

BS Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering) from an accredited program recognized by the Washington Accord
15-20 years experience of Aerospace Engineering
Prior Boeing Commercial MRB Liaison Signature Authority with successful completion of Boeing MRB Structural Repair Analysis Course, or equivalent a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with customers at all levels 
Exceptional time management and organization skills
Strong analytical skills
