EFS Engineer (Systems Integration Specialist, Simulator)

Description:
We are seeking two Systems Integration Engineers for our Engineering Flight Simulator (EFS) and its simulation host equipment. The simulator is a static SIM with a representative cockpit environment, avionics & flight controls integrated systems, visual system and simulation host computers running the performance and aero models of the aircraft. Candidates should have experience and be familiar with a static simulator environment.
The candidates will be responsible to lead the systems integration effort to upgrade the EFS in support of engineering test requirements. Creation of engineering documents to manage the EFS configuration, functional test procedures, and maintenance program will be required, as well as coordination with the EWIS team for the upgrade of EFS wiring harnesses and installations.  Close coordination with the simulation and engineering teams in Nagoya, and Flight Operations Group in Moses Lake will be required.

3. Work Location:
The primary work location will be in Seattle, WA, USA. Business trips to required sites may be requested, including Nagoya, Japan and Moses Lake where engineering tasks (Nagoya) and intensive flight tests (Moses Lake) are carried out. 
 
4. Scope of Work:
 
  • Responsible to lead the systems integration effort to upgrade the EFS in support of engineering test and FOG operations requirements. 
  • Define simulation software upgrade requirements to Unit 1  in a Technical Specification document.
  • Review existing documentation for the EFS (once translated) to map out the existing SIM Host functionality and requirements for upgrade.
  • Creation of engineering documents to manage the EFS configuration, functional test procedures, and maintenance program will be required,
  • Coordination with the EWIS team for the upgrade of EFS wiring harnesses and installations. Review EFS drawing and harness modification packages prior to manufacturing.
  • Close coordination with the simulation and engineering teams in Nagoya, and Flight Operations Group in Moses Lake will be required.  Able to travel as required.
