Workflow Specialist

Description:
PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Workflow Specialist in Plano, TX.

Summary:

  • Provides technical support to customers, wireless carrier orders for end users, including activation/plan changes/troubleshooting, order management during and after deployment in the plant. 
  • Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. 
  • Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, and/or complex software. 
  • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. 
  • Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. 
  • Works under immediate supervision. 
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 

Activities include but are not limited to: 

  • Daily order management. 
  • Order entry. 
  • Customer communication. 
  • Existing Order follow up. 
  • Help Desk Ticket management. 
  • Wireless carrier’s activities. 
  • Activations & Plan/Feature Changes. 
  • Troubleshooting. 
  • General customer account support. 

Requisite skills include: 
  • 2yrs Order Management experience. 
  • Good business communications both oral and written. 
  • Good phone presence, ability to represent the company effectively and professionally over the phone. 
  • Ability to coordinate disparate activities by phone and email. 
  • Attention to detail, follow through and record keeping. 
  • Able to juggle multiple activities simultaneously. 
  • Experience with order entry systems, inventory systems. 
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office applications; Word, Excel.
  • May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
