Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering design and systems integration for the Praopulsion fluids systems (cryogenic, non-cryogenic, hydraulics and pneumatics) and/or Ordnance Component/System design.
• Develop sub-system and component designs and requirements to satisfy overall propulsion systems requirements.
• Generation of engineering drawings or changes as well as assembly and testing requirements
• Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult engineering/scientific problems.
• Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives.
• Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
• Failure to achieve expected results would typically result in serious project delays.
• Work with minimal direction.
• Independently determine and develop approaches to problems.
• Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Receive guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

Qualification:
• Security Clearance / International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR). Therefore, all applicants must be U. S. Persons as defined in ITAR 120. 15.
• Required: mechanical design capability as well as understanding dynamic, structural and fluids analysis concepts.
• Familiarity with fluids and thermodynamics designs.
• Familiarity with structural design.
• Proficient with mechanical design utilizing NX-11, Team Center, Model Based Engineering. Proficient with Microsoft Office platform tools and Project integration skills.
• Propulsion-Ordnance System Design
*U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years of relevant job experience.
