Software Engineer -TS/SCI SSBI , Aurora, CO 80011

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer -TS/SCI SSBI Clearance,  Aurora CO. 80011.
 12 month contract with possible extensions. Must have an Active  TS/SCI SSBI to qualify. 

Responsibility include the software architecture, design, implementation, and integrity of the application. Candidates should have ability to work well on a team and independently. Strong customer support, technical expertise, and program management experience is desired. This position will not include significant coding responsibilities.

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
• Providing architecture development, preliminary design, and detailed design planning
• Ability to interact with customers and users effectively and professionally
• Experience in designing and implementing complex, multi-tier, multi-tenant, end-to-end solutions in a high availability environment
• Proven success on projects with large-scale deployments; understanding of application life-cycle management
• Ability to develop high level design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support and operational needs of a solution
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
• Enthusiastic and energetic performer
• Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy
• Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the specific guidance of his/her immediate supervisor
• Communication of complex and diverse engineering topics
• Working knowledge of configuration management tools, methods and processes 
United States Citizen
• Active TS/SCI SSBI level
• Minimum 8 years working experience in software development, with 1 years in a Software architecture role
• Experience with the entire application lifecycle (preliminary design through maintenance phases)
• Experience with COTS Integration
• Experience with UML
• Experience with scripting, i.e PERL, SH, TCSH
• Experience with working with Linux/Unix OS development

Familiarity with design patterns
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentoring of teammates
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Demonstrated decision making, including the ability to provide justification of decisions
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills:
• Prior experience on large programs
Experience with ITSM/ITIL, ServiceNow architecture
Development tools using: Studio IDE, Git Integration, Automated Testing, Portal Widget Editor and Script Debugger
• Integration using: MID Servers, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and scripted APIs.
• Security using: encryption, tokenization, 2-Factor Authorization, OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSO, LDAP, ACLs etc.)
• Interface Development using: Service Creator, Activity Builder, Form Designer, Visual Workflow Designer, Portal Designer and Table & Schema Builder. Must be experienced with Model-view-controller paradigms and familiar with predefined widgets, editing widgets and creating new widgets; candidate should have ability to create portals, dashboards, and apps with no platform code dependencies.

• Core Services using: Reporting Engine, Orchestration, Service Catalog, Workflow Process Engine and applying knowledge management, business rules and scoped applications.
• Wide experience is desirable delivering integrations with REST APIs and Frameworks (REST and SOAP APIs, Scripted REST API framework, JavaScript APTs, OAuth2, CORS) and using MID Servers, JDBC, LDAP, PowerShell, FTP and Python
• Experience with Enterprise Architect
• Experience and knowledge related to Satellite Command and Control Systems
• Experience and knowledge related to Satellite Operations
• Experience and knowledge related to software discipline process development and deployment
• Experience with customer interaction and end-user engagement
• Experience preparing and presenting status information and technical material
• Familiarity working with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and knowledge of how they interact with the software engineering discipline •
• May require working overtime and weekends to support software schedule

Required Education (including Major):
• Bachelor of Science, BS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Math. Equivalent experience accepted.
