Sr. Structures and Dynamics Engineer

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Sr. Structures and Dynamics Engineer for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Canoga Park, CA.

** Candidates must be U.S. Citizens without Dual Citizenship **

Duties:
-Assist other analysts and designers engaged with development and production of new and existing liquid rocket engines, propulsion system components and secondary structure.
-Perform structural and dynamics analyses utilizing class hand-calculation methods and finite element models.
-Construct and solve static and dynamic finite element models using Nastran.
-Participate in dynamic test planning and execution.
-Correlate structural models to test results.
-Interpret analytical results, assess design margins and prepare technical reports

Skills:
-Must have experience using Nastran for Structural and Dynamic Analysis.
-Demonstrated experience performing linear, non-linear and structures and dynamics analyses supporting design, development and production qualification of new or updated products is required.
-Proficiency using finite element analysis tools such as Nastran is required.
-Knowledge and experience with aerospace product development efforts is desired.
-Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Power Point) is required.
-Active U.S. Security Clearance is desirable, but not required.

Education:
-This position requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics and at least 5 years of engineering experience with structural analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Master’s degree preferred.
