Asset Management Analyst

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Asset Management Analyst, in Charlotte, NC.

  • Manage IT equipment life-cycle utilizing the Service Now platform.
  • Monitor stockrooms to identify shortages.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of hardware specs and expectations of the company.
  • Recommend hardware (laptops, peripherals) based on current models and potential future needs.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries, finalize purchase details, tracking and delivery.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure inventory is high quality and delivered on time.
  • Actively monitor, follow-up, and update asset disputes through research of asset inventory activity, location and validity of company ownership.
  • Handle asset-billing disputes through the completion of proper forms for submission to vendor asset management group and drive disputes to closure.
  • Ensure that new license entitlements are appropriately updated in the asset management system.
  • Manage license counters, assuring that license metrics are accurately reflected against product use rights and contractual guidelines.
  • Track and report to management key functional metrics for potential cost reduction and efficiency.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of ITIL and SACM concepts and best practices.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Hardware Asset Management.
  • Understanding of hardware lifecycle management processes for purchase, receipt, IMAC, stock management and retirement.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Software Asset Management and with a Software Asset Management application, such as Flexera’s FlexNet Manager Suite, HP Asset Manager, Remedy Asset Management, etc.
  • Ability to manage all software licensing aspects for an enterprise; knowledge of various platforms and license types (PVUs, CALs, cloud, subscription, perpetual, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with licensing for large software vendors, such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to communicate effectively with multiple management layers and across a broad base of users.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently on multiple assignments.
