Sourcing Program Manager

Description:
A Sourcing Program Manager Is currently available at Belcan in Phoenix, AZ. This position will require you to support transition hardware engineering to supply chain engagement. The SPM will play an integral role as a leader of all interactions, pathways, and results from technical release of new products to sourcing aspects of ISC projects. The SPM will be required to coordinate and integrate engineering transition projects involving design match to sourcing options required to support and drive a successful project from feasibility through strategy, planning, execution and close out as part of a greater project team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate the transition of products from engineering development and NPI to sourcing and negotiation of commercial business contracts with suppliers and customers.
* Responsible for major subcontracts & NPI sourcing.
* Leads cross functional supplier selection with inputs from engineering, quality, and integrated supply chain stakeholders to achieve best value, cost effective business solutions, and drive supplier performance to meet program objectives.
* Use technical acumen, familiarity with engine hardware, and the general knowledge of materials and processes available in the supply base (or from prior engineering experience), to challenge and direct product design content match to supplier capabilities for best DFMA and VAVE outcomes.
* Oversee and manage both legacy and new suppliers, through various contract vehicles, such as: Long Term Contracts, Master Service Agreements, Statement of Work's, Strategic Negotiations, eAuctions and General Terms Agreements.
* Seamless alignment with supplier development engineering ensuring first articles are approved by the quality function, supplier assessment when/if required are completed, supplier readiness assessments are complete, supplier processes are optimized, and confirmation of supplier tooling readiness is achieved.
* Work with buyers, and planners to ensure ERP System requirements are correct, operational, and supplier automation tools are utilized
* Develop and maintain a strong operating system to monitor project's progress, assess risks, ensure timely intervention, and transparency to current state with project stakeholders
* Drive improvements based on observation and inputs from other key functions utilizing lean methodologies to improve/eliminate bottlenecks, VMI processes, supplier production processes, tooling refurbishment, drive risk mitigation, and improve supply continuity
* Fully accountable for driving the results of all NPI transitional sourcing functions to meet target objectives
* Change agility, strategic vision, and mobilize others in the organization to initiate change
* Able to travel up to 25% travel to various sites though region will be required.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree (preferably in an engineering discipline) highly desired but not absolutely required with the right matching and length of experience.
* Experience in aircraft hardware environment with exposure to design, sourcing and manufacturing functions as an intermediary or liaison.
* 5+ years of professional experience working within large matrixed organizations, with proven track record of innovation, delivery, and results
* 3+ years Project/Program Management experience in Integrated Supply Chain with emphasis on Sourcing and New Product Integration.

Desired:
* Project Management Certification (PMP) (although not required)
* Experience helping lead an organization through change is preferred, including direct experience with engineering development-to-production aircraft hardware transitions and supply chain transformation activities, operating initiatives, and cost control programs that build growth and profitability
* Highly motivated to succeed with an approachable manner as well as engenders trust and confidence at all levels of the organization
* Recognized self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and seeks the challenge of winning in a rapidly changing environment
* Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
* Knowledge of basic commodity management, purchasing principles and strong negotiation skills (intercompany and suppliers)
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to influence peers and across the organization
* Good judgement and decision making. Considers all factors to form the best overall solution
* Professional in Microsoft Office
* Exceptionally strong strategic thinker, driven and able to move fast
* Strong analytical skills with outstanding management and operational instincts
* Conviction, supported views and appropriately advocates while being open to ideas of others. Takes personal responsibility to ensure full execution
* A talented communicator with the ability to impact, influence and motivate external and internal stakeholders
* Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
* Ability to lead/drive change, and influence/mentor others
* Drives results through inclusion and collaborative behavior
