Manager is
 looking for: 

  • SCM role Experience on TFS and Windows server.
  • Experience in Automating builds and managing code branches.
  • Experience in Gits, Jenkins and Cloud solutions

 6 Month with possible extensions.  Must be a US Citizen or Green Card to qualify.

What does a great Software Configuration Engineer do? A SCM (Software Configuration Management) engineer ensures the integrity, reliability and reproducibility of our internally and externally developed software products from conception to release. We do this by providing enterprise SCM tools like Visual SourceSafe, Perforce and Team Foundation Server, and providing technical software development standards around software building by providing tools that consistently build, package, report on, and ensure the integrity of our developed software products throughout all environments.

Job Duties are as follows:
•Design, develop, implement and support high-quality software build systems
Introduce new techniques and technologies for new build systems and evolve existing systems
•Maintain and enhance external interfaces to build systems and information
•Stay abreast of the latest in build technologies like Jenkins, Building in the Cloud and Git

•Provide design and implementation guidance and tutoring as necessary to team members in best practices, tool use, and quality assurance
Develop build scripts and tools for builds, using most appropriate languages and technologies
•Integrate automated builds and build artifacts into test environments, unit test harnesses, and code analysis tools
•Identify and implement innovative solutions to present and future customer needs; this includes forecasting needs, and deriving requirements from customer interactions, internal as well as external
•Develop high quality designs and code with respect to testability, internationalization, scalability, performance, security, and fault tolerance
•Provide estimates and manage own schedule at component/sub-system level, manage build machines, servers, and build environments, and understands security concepts and processes for build systems
 
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
•Either Perl or Python are a must.
•Familiar with OOP with either C#, Java or C++.
•Familiar with Configuration Management concepts, build framework design and architecture.

•Must have demonstrated a solid project where they designed and implemented a cross platform build framework
•Windows experience required
Experience with Perforce, Subversion and Team Foundation Server administration
•Source code administration experience a must
4+ years in Software Development and/or Configuration Management.
•Full life-cycle experience (design through delivery and support), Developing and improving CM standards, practices and procedures

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
•Experience on build technologies like Jenkins, Building on Cloud and Git
•Experience on container-based management software like Docker or Openshift


Travel required: 20%
