Technical Illustrator I

PDS Tech is seeking a Technical Illustrator I for an opening in Tempe, AZ
This is an on site position, not remote.
Creates and/or revises technical illustrations. 
Reviews technical content and gathers specifications with engineering support. 
Reviews blueprints for technical information. 
Paticipates in Engineering review of Technical Manuals as required. 
Provide backup CAD support to Engineering as required. 
Provides support for engineering activities as required. 
Marginal duties may include the following: 
Coordinates and organizes conversion of files to other formats 
Takes photographs of program assembly and processes. 
Adherence to Export Control and Technology Control Plan (TCP) as applicable to job function 
Adherence to Compliance Plan and Employee Policy Manual

Education and Experience 
Technical Illustrator  I:  A High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a CAD Operator or Technical Illustrator role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  An Associate’s Degree (AA) in Engineering or related Technical Trade Certification is preferred. 
Required: Technical Illustrator I
• Proficient in Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and software (e.g. SolidWorks, and AutoCAD) is required to illustrate components. • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint as required) • Ability to read and interpret engineering designs and drawings. • Mathematical understanding consistent with the educational requirements. • Ability to read, write and communicate clearly and effectively in English. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Ability to use various tools to identify and solve problems. • Strong customer service and company culture/reputation orientation. 
Preferred: • Artistic background or art education. • Familiarity with drafting standards. • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Premiere.
