Position can be done remotely US - Principal Semiconductor Engineer Position is specifically for a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design Engineer US Citizen Only, no dual citizenship and must be in continental USA Overtime to be billed as straight time rate per Addendum to Tapfin Exhibit A Tapfin can provide candidates above max bill rate for consideration Potential conversion to Full Time if candidate is willing to work onsite at Plymouth, MN; Clearwater, FL; or Phoenix, AZ Designs new Aerospace FPGA products and makes improvements to existing products. You will be responsible for requirements, architecture, coding, running simulations, synthesis, performing basic testing, and preparation of documentation. You will lead project reviews and audits.? Prefer a knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog, design tools for Xilinx and/or Microsemi, MBA, PCI, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, OS Linux, scripting languages Perl, Shell, and TCL. DO-254 experience is a plus. May oversee the work of other design engineers. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that design production is completed in a timely manner. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (Electrical or Computer Engineering) and minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative and able to work independently. Strong technical problem-solving skills.
