Job Description

Scope of Work:

• Composite Engineering Technician is responsible for the layup, bagging and curing of composite prepreg panels.
• The technician is responsible for operating ovens, presses and an autoclave.
• The technician is responsible for preparing surfaces for bonding, applying paste/film adhesives/primers and curing them.
• Technician is responsible for the machine setup, drilling, trimming and cutting of composite materials.
• Technician) would know how to properly operate a band saw, mill, drill press, belt sander, grit blaster and other typical shop equipment. This may require some programming skills
• Technician is responsible for keeping the records of materials and test specimens in a computerized database system.

Skills Required:
• Microsoft software suite applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the like
• Able to read and understand Engineering Drawings and specifications
• Good communication skills- oral and written (technical reports)
• Physical strength - ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• 5 years experience
• Familiarity with common hand tools and shop equipment (Band Saw, Drill Press, Belt Sander, etc)
• Associates Degree REQUIRED
• Must be US Citizen
