Logistics Specialist

Description:
* Really need candidates with a strong technical background in logistics analysis and a demonstrated ability to autonomously manage small teams and projects.
* Need someone who’s up-to-speed with Government Acquisition Programs & Technical Manual Software
* The Senior Logistics Specialist will take on more of a leadership role; looking for someone who’s managed or supervised others (3 – 20 employees)


Looking for a Mid-Level Logistics Specialists (8+ years) and a Senior Logistics Specialists (15+ years) to support a federal contract portfolio. The Logistics Specialists will technically support and oversee various Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) efforts within the company, specifically for Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) equipment acquisition programs and projects. They will utilize their logistics expertise to plan, coordinate, execute, and manager complex logistics analysis projects while directing and mentoring junior level logisticians. Projects will involve the development, assessment, and management of maintenance planning, technical data, manpower/personnel, computer resources support, supply support, facilities, support equipment, training and support, and PHS&T. The Logistics Specialists are expected to communicate effectively with executive staff, the internal and external contractor technical teams, and the various Government and private company customers.

Job Duties:

The Logistics Specialists will be responsible for the integration of Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability and Sustainment activities for DOD and DHS programs. These positions require a thorough working knowledge with and experience in ensuring all logistics elements are addressed and sustained throughout the acquisition and sustainment processes. Key technical tasking includes:
> Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
> Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs)
> Maintenance Tree Analysis (MTAs)
> Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
> Reliability Center Maintenance Analysis (RCM)
> Provisioning analysis and documentation
> Manpower, Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) analysis
> Technical publication development

In support of these tasks, the Logistics Specialists will lead, manage, and represent all logistics elements at all Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) and customer reviews for their programs. The Specialist will serve as the primary customer point of contact for logistics program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Further responsibilities for both the Senior Logistics Specialists include:
> General support for Human Systems Interface (HSI) tasking
> General support for training development to include new equipment training, maintainer training, and interactive multimedia instruction products
> Technical support for Federal Government proposal development

Qualifications:

ď‚Ż Education:
o Bachelors of Arts Degree (minimum); Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Business (preferred). Defense Acquisition University training in Acquisition and Logistics (a plus). Significant professional experience in logistics may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
ď‚Ż Experience (Mid/Senior):
o 10/15 years of professional experience showing progressive growth in skills and responsibility with a minimum of 6/10 years in DoD/DHS related integrated logistics support planning and analysis.
ď‚Ż Skills:
o Deeply experienced in conducting various logistics analyses (maintenance analyses, provisioning analyses, reliability analyses, safety analyses, MANPRINT analyses, and life cycle cost analyses), collecting and reporting LSA data, managing reliability growth programs, developing and verifying technical manuals, developing new equipment training curriculums, documenting packaging requirements, and developing supportability and life cycle support plans.
ď‚Ż Technical Skills:
o Demonstrated capability in the development and maintenance of Logistics Management Information (LMI) and Supportability Analysis Summaries (SAS) in accordance with MIL-STD-1388-2B, MIL-PRF-49506 and GEIA-STD-0007
o Demonstrated capability in utilizing POWERLOG, COMPASS, CASA, and NSN search tools
o Demonstrated capability in the development of Logistics Support Plans, development of Maintenance Plans, and conduct of various logistics analyses (as identified in the “Job Duties” section above)
o Demonstrated capability in the development of Provisioning Parts Lists (PPLs) and Design Change Notice (DCN) data using PowerLog-J and MS Excel .csv file formats
o Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting technical manual validation and verification processes.
o Demonstrated experience in working with and manipulating software databases to create additional software models for task analysis simplicity
