Job Summary:

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance and Reliability Planning Analyst is responsible for forecasting, developing and implementing maintenance activities to support the GSE Reliability Program. Similar to the Aircraft Reliability Program, this role uses failure trend analysis, GSE performance metrics, reports, maintenance records and information from equipment manufacturers to determine actions that will improve vehicle fleet reliability and optimize resource use. Works closely with GSE Analysts, Engineers, Technicians, client's part supplier and GSE Management to identify, quantify and advocate for improvement opportunities. This position is directly responsible to the Manager of Engineering. GSE is comprised of client owned or leased, motorized and non-motorized equipment, aircraft deicing equipment, baggage screening and conveyance equipment, passenger boarding bridges and system scales. The GSE organization sources, maintains and disposes of these assets. These services are provided to client Airport Customer Service, Cargo, Technical Operations and other departments resulting in safe, cost effective, and reliable ground aircraft operations.

Job Duties:

• Develop both strategic and tactical plans which practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
• Responsible for review and scheduling of GSE maintenance events in the EBis maintenance and asset tracking system.
• Time is of the essence in all activities.
• Self-starting and driven to meet self-imposed and externally-imposed goals.
• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and PLC controlled systems to comprehend and interpret findings.

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of two to four years’ experience in maintenance planning.
• A bachelor’s degree in related Business or Engineering, BSME or BSEE (Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer) is required with a master's degree preferred.
• Candidate must have strong analytical abilities to digest, organize and distill actionable conclusions from available data.
• Candidate will also need planning and administrative skills and possess strong written and verbal communication abilities for conveying technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
• Candidate should have knowledge of safety conditions and standards as they affect passengers, employees, aircraft and equipment.
• Must be able and willing to work extended hours and be subject to 'on call' responses during off hours.
• Prior experience in maintenance planning and administration is absolutely required with a working knowledge of fleet maintenance management as related to development, control, and monitoring of routine and non-routine maintenance programs.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and reporting functions to meet required deadlines, as well as knowledge of industry standards relating to ground support equipment and technical interface between stationary ground support equipment and terminal facilities.
• Must have a thorough understanding of equipment maintenance processes, including adherence to budgets, schedules and costing methods.
• Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel as well as maintenance and asset tracking software such as EBis.
• Being well versed in the client Aircraft Reliability Program process as well as the Reliability Control Board process is strongly preferred.
