Senior Electromagnetic Effects Engineer

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Electromagnetic Effects Engineer located in Huntsville, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Reviewing supplier and partner qualification data
o Nuclear Hardening analysis and test
o EMI/C analysis and test
o EMSEC/TEMPEST analysis and test
o HIRF/Lightning analysis and test
o RF Co-Site analysis
o Antenna Coupling analysis
o Electrical Power Quality and Load analysis
o Responsible for project planning and CDRL delivery
Other job responsibilities may include:
o Develops and validates requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
o Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
o Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
o Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
o Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.
o Manages appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
o Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested.
o Supports project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status.
o Writes appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business.
o Works under minimal mentorship.
o Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment.
o The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
o Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
o Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments.
o Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o 9 or more years of experience in Electrical Engineering
o This position requires that you work out of Huntsville, AL
o Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
o ABET accreditation is preferred
o Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
o Previous experience in Electromagnetic Effects

EDUCATION:
Accredited Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.

25% Travel

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
