Data Management Specialist

Description:
General Summary:
This function interfaces with IS to accurately understand the meaning of data available in company systems, the most efficient way to collect it in a regular basis and, when metrics are mature, implement their automation.
• Use data analytics to assess current state, perform sensitivity analysis of future scenarios and make recommendations to management.
• Also works with Engineering and IS to implement new functionalities in company systems as well as with enterprise company data located in SAP, Kronos, Teamcenter, CATIA, sharepoint, MS Project Server and intranet to support the development of business needs, create new functions and dashboards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interact with different parts of the organization to improve data accuracy and consistency.
• Create application programs and / or macros to automate processes and reports.
• Analysis of data existing in several different company systems to produce meaningful management information.
• Analysis of the quality of the data used for metrics and be part of the team that will implement corrections.
• Provide recommendations using data analytics
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Team up with Engineering teams and IS to implement new PLM functions and support the automation design creation.

Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
• Business BA, Production/Industrial Engineer BS or Operational Research BS.
• 0-3 years working with business analytics is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Skilled in numerical analysis and use of data for simulations.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Project
• Skilled in programming languages like Python, VBA, Java, etc
• Excellent critical thinking.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding and working experience with databases. Working knowledge of Oracle database is preferred.
• Work well in teams, be detail oriented, ability to understand big picture, be proactive, persistent and flexible.
• Great desire to learn and develop the understanding of how CAD / PLM and ERP Systems are used to manage and use design data and Industrial Organizations.
• Ability to create meaningful and easy to understand interfaces for data creation / utilization.

Physical Requirements:
• Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
• Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
• Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
• Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
• Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
• Effectively communicate in Business English language.
• Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
• Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
