Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract- Hire)

TriMech is hiring for a senior mechanical engineer to provide mechanical product design, electronic packaging, and enclosure design of chemical and biological sensor packages.

Responsibilities:

Electronic packaging and enclosure design of small electronic systems or sensors
Utilize 3D CAD tools to provide mechanical product design of required systems with the goal of miniaturization of existing systems.
Develop initial prototype designs that will be build and tested
Work with program team to ensure Thermal Management and Power Management
Focus on the miniaturization of existing sensor packages
Required Skills:

5-10 years of experience in mechanical product design, electronic packaging, and enclosure design.
Experienced design of electro/mechanical components and systems.
Proven experience design chemical sensor or related electronic products
Highly experienced with SolidWorks 3D modeling and analysis tools.
Proficiency in MS Office products like Excel, Visio, and Word.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledgeable in DFM/A techniques and able to develop designs that incorporate these techniques.
Excellent verbal, written and graphical communication skills
Education Requirements:

BSME or Physics Degree
