System Engineer III

PDS Tech Inc. is seeking a System Engineer III, in Louisville, CO

  • Proactively engage with the program engineering design teams to implement M&P requirementsand processes, resolve issues and provide technical information needed for material selection and process development
  • Develop and conduct material compatibility test plans and analyses
  • Work with external companies and laboratories to specify, perform, and evaluate material testing
  • Ensure conformance of products with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Understand, plan and execute technical activities in accordance with SNC policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements.

  • Experience working within aerospace or other industrial programs as a Metallurgical Engineer and Analyst
  • Experience in corrosion control, coatings and platings and other finishing techniques, fracture control evaluation, and selecting and approving mechanical standard parts
  • Understanding of NASA and Industry M&P processes and standards such as working with NASASTD-6016 or equivalent space industry M&P standards

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • B.S. degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering or similar engineering or technical discipline
  • Excellent communication skills required. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively in presentations to large audiences as well as person to person
  • Well versed with industry standards for materials, processes and mechanical parts selection and management, particularly for metals
  • Knowledge of engineering materials (such as metals, intermetallics, polymers, composites, ceramics, etc.) as well as a basic understanding of engineering systems and processes (welding, adhesive bonding, fasteners, pressure vessels, etc.) and Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques
  • Minimum Fundamental Knowledge, Skills and Abilities as stated in SNC’s Responsibility Matrix

Essential Functions:

  • Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Follow SNC policies, procedures and work instructions for all technical activities and adherence to Compliance regulations
  • Be punctual to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
  • Other duties as assigned
