We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our growing company as a Systems Administrator. You’ll install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including Web servers in support of networking requirements. You’ll perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages, schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. You’ll also monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels and ensure workstation or server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates and patches.
• Respond to and resolve end-user requests
• Analyze, isolate, and resolve end-user issues
• Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
• Administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
• Install and test computer-related equipment
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues for our users
• Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
• Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
• Maintain network and system security
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to all users
• Test and analyze commercial control systems
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
• Develop and promote standard operating procedures
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Qualifications:
• Required – able to obtain security clearance.
• Proficiency with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems required
• Experience with AD, Exchange, Veritas, Solaris, Network engineering
• Experience with troubleshooting issues related to Active Directory topology and related features in a domain environment
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, e-mail, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications
• Experience with network storage and systems, database administration, and application monitoring required to provision, sustain, operate, and integrate Cyber network systems and applications
• Knowledge of non-IP based communications a plus
• Highly detail oriented and analytical thinker
• Proficient problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of applications
• Motivated self-starter and independent worker
Preferred:
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Certification
• Knowledge of cybersecurity
• Experience with industrial control systems

Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in system administration
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows operating platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in technology related field, such as Engineering, Computer Science or related
