Summary:
Operate plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to perform precision machining operations such as compound angles, contours, helical/spiral milling, boring compound angular holes, serrating, and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to strict tolerances.
Setting up and operating milling machines, selecting and mounting specialized attachments and tooling, and planning the sequence of operations.
Determining and adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cuts.
Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
Using machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments to perform tasks.
Performing standard shop computations and marking dimensions and reference points for machining.
Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other methods.
Stock cutting saw
Large Pracico wash station
Burr bench work
Required Skills:
High School Diploma (no degree required)
First shift hours: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (4x10 schedule)
On-site interviews will be conducted by the manager for this position.
