NDT II Inspector

Description:
Morson International is currently seeking a NDT Level II Inspector to join our client, a manufacturer of aerospace parts. They are in need of a candidate on a contractual basis to interpret indications and evaluate discontinuities to applicable quality documents and reports results. Aerospace manufacturing experience is required and ideally with performing Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing methods.

Responsibilities

Assures that material and parts are properly processed to the applicable NDT Method Specification: Visual, Flo-Pen, Penetrant, Dimensional and x-ray.
Reads and interprets indications and evaluates discontinuities referencing applicable quality documents.
Performs or verifies the performance of systems capability checks specified in the applicable NDT Method Specification.
Conducts regular and complex testing to determine acceptability of material or product.
Examines product for possible internal or external defects.
Sets up equipment, as applicable.
Read or interpret blueprints or drwaings, specifications, and scan procedures in order to accomplish ultrasonic setups, test, and report preparation.
Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time
Capable of obtaining customer certification requirements

Desired: Certification in at least one NDT Method and visual weld inspection experience.

Job Location: Santa Ana, CA
Rate: $25/hour
Overtime: Yes
