Radar Systems Engineer- Clearance

Description:
As a Radar Senior Systems Engineer, your day-to-day activities may include:
o Supporting the development of radar system requirements, design and architecture artifacts.
o Data Analysis & Root Cause Analysis in support of understanding or troubleshooting system behaviors, generating reports to describe these behaviors, and putting forth potential options or solutions to change the observed system behaviors.
o Conducting technical and nontechnical trade studies and analysis.
o Participating in team planning and coordination meetings
o Understanding, and compliance with, DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
* Required Skill Sets:
o Experience with developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods and tools
o Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
o Typically Five (5)+ years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience related to Systems/Software Engineering architecture, requirements, determination, development, and implementation, Radar Engineering and architecture.
* Desired Skill Sets:
o Experience with Battle Management Command, Control. Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) systems, Radar Systems, or signal processing techniques
o Experience with system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture.
o Experience with radar system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance
o Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and analysis tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
o Experience and interest in Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development, and implementation
o Experience working with Matlab, C/C++, Java, or DOORS
o Previous military service
o Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
o Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user needs
o Strong analytic, technical and problem solving skills

* Years of Experience Required (if any): 5 Years * Education Level Required: Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics * How will the contractors success be measured? o Completion of assigned tasks (often self-assigned with team coordination from a shared backlog) consistent with technical, budget, and schedule expectations set by consensus of the team * Culture: o The contractor will be working as an embedded member of an agile execution team with daily stand-up meetings and monthly planning cadence.
