Location: Plymouth, MI
Duration: 12 months with possible contract to hire

Description:
Metals & Mechanisms Engineering
Current Production Support

Assisting PMs and Eng Managers with the SDT/CM meetings
Assisting with document control for all change management

Tracking of IRs/ECRs/ECOs/DAs:
Provide weekly report of all IR, ECR, ECO, and DA activity to assure none are lost or take too long to process.
- Manage one-hour weekly review with Director and Engineers.
- Assist SDTs with review of open IRs, ECRs, ECOs, DAs in weekly SDT meetings.

- Track approvers to press them for timely approval or rational for delay. Help manage/coordinate approval paths and roadblocks for DA/ECR/ECO.
- Alert team if DA is expiring to help prevent unintended expiration.
- Monitor all drawings for 2 signatures, correct ECR/ECO numbers on drawings, drawings match eBOMS, correct process, and completeness.
- Assure approved/released drawings are released and appropriate notification to SDT in support of ECO Implementation.
- Assist Program Managers in monitoring progress on ECO Implementation Plans (Glide Path) to track ECO Implementation is complete (PPAP’d) in all affected plants.
- Audit to assure eBOMs match mBOMs.
- Assist SDTs with storage of all supporting documents (FMEAs, FEA studies, etc.) per the Product Change Management procedure is EPIC/Teamcenter or other designated secure location.
Measures: Weekly reporting of these Implementation Plans for all changes active for IR/ECR/ECO/DO Implementation in production.

Plant Support – Provide ongoing support for Manufacturing Operations.
- Respond to all Plant/Manufacturing/Purchasing requests for drawings and change documentation and status.
- Monitor implementation plan (Glide Path) with Plant Coordinators in each plant to confirm ECOs and DAs are implemented in all affected plants.
- Audit to assure all End Items shipped by Metals/Mechanisms are supported by an SDT in EPIC. Work with Program Managers and Engineering Director to correct/update/maintain all SDTs in EPIC to assure the correct SDT Members (required) Engineering Managers, Program Mangers, Engineering Director and (desired) Account Financial Manager, Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Buyer, and Plant Coordinator.
Measures: Plant/Manufacturing/Purchasing support provided in a timely manner. SDTs in EPIC correct and maintained for all End Items.

Support SDT / Change Management Meetings
- Attend applicable SDT / Change Management meetings for all assigned programs.
- Assist the Program Managers in facilitating (the regular meeting cadence. (Note: Program Managers are required to lead the meetings).
- Assist Program Managers in maintaining correct SDT membership. Audit membership periodically.
Measures: SDTs in EPIC correct and maintained for all End Items.

EPIC (and PLM) expertise.
- Provide EPIC expertise for all team members – lead resolution for all EPIC concerns and productivity issues.
- Maintain and enhance IR, ECR, and DA Checklist for best practices.
- Coordinate any required training and monitor effective use to assure EPIC is utilized productively.
- Provide PLM expertise and liaison as PLM transition continues.
Measures: Training provided, EPIC efficiently/effectively used for change
management, all SDTs are audited and maintained in EPIC for all finished goods.

Knowledge Sharing – Share with regional/global Release Coordinator team.
- Share current production knowledge with Release Coordinator team – meet at least monthly and provide written summary/status which may be of use globally.
- Stay current and informed regarding new EPIC or PLM development – assure lessons learned and knowledge from current production is shared.
Measures: Summary reporting monthly, routine conf/meeting reporting. Specific examples of knowledge shared.

Development Goal:
Personal Development – Continue to improve skills/experience.
- Identify and take two classes, seminars, or self-training in different categories as part of personal self-development.
Measures: Specific examples of growth in Personal Development and resulting application/accomplishments to the benefit of Client.

Comments:
This position is not looking for anyone with Project Coordinator/Management or Program Management experience. The candidates need to have experience in Release Coordination in the Engineering field.
