Manufacturing Engineer 2nd Shift - Aerospace and Defense

A Manufacturing Engineer 2nd Shift is needed for a proven and reliable world leader in Aviation Air-to-Ground Communications, Aircraft Systems and Tactical Reconnaissance Radars, as well as advanced high-resolution Surveillance Systems.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Perform detailed review of composite part CAD model and lamination drawing (solid and honeycomb panel designs)
Generate surface geometry representing tool and honeycomb core layers, generate boundary curve geometry for individual plies from the applicable CAD models and drawings
Utilize Siemens NX and FiberSIM PLM software package to produce a composite manufacturing solution for complex parts that adheres to engineering process specifications
Generate Flat Pattern and Laser Projection files using FiberSIM
Create Powerpoint PlyBook files from Flat Patterns, for use by the Manufacturing Engineering group in lamination work instructions
Provide support to manufacturing engineering on shop floor when needed
Experience with CAD, Siemens NX (Unigraphics)/FiberSIM, PLM is required
5 to 15 Years experience in aerospace composite manufacturing, processing and materials knowledge.
Proficient with CAD (Creo and/or Pro E) and Siemens NX/FiberSIM PLM software
Working knowledge of composite part design and fabrication methods
Experience working in commercial and/or military aircraft manufacturing environments
Familiar with composite lamination drawings and process specifications
Previous hand layup experience with prepreg material is a plus
Required Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
