What You’ll Do:

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex guidance and control embedded software associated with underwater vehicles as well as support software associated with mission planning.
Responsible for creating and maintaining preliminary and detailed level software design products and version control of software (Git).
Develop, review and test software components for adherence to the requirements and documents test results.
Document and resolve software problem reports.
Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
Provide inputs to system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with Systems and HW (EE/ME) engineers and manufacturing to define and implement new product test plans, procedures and processes in an effort to achieve optimal test coverage in the most efficient manner.
Support ongoing production test needs including creating/modifying test software.
Develop manufacturing diagnostics to make the debug process more efficient.
Write and revise test procedures for new and existing assemblies and products.
Initiate and/or review ECPs that impact software, procedures, and tools associated with vehicle & factory test equipment. Implements changes required to vehicle & test software, procedures, and tools.
What You’ll Need:

Potential to stat without a clearance based on technical experience; Prefer candidates with Active Secret Clearance however will consider candidates that have Interim Secret Clearance OR the Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance.
Can work individually, collaboratively with other developers, and as part of a larger integrated product team.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree combined with 4 + years of relevant work experience.
