Project Engineer
The project engineer will be responsible for specific projects or projects within the company. The Project Engineer will be tasked with project planning, budgeting, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects. The Project Engineer will have prior experience as a lead engineer or senior engineering role dealing with DoD-related programs. The Project Engineer will proactively lead improvement initiatives on projects for which they are responsible or assigned.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide guidance/direction to a team of engineers, including driving technology and completing projects on time and within budget.
Coaches one or more Engineers or Senior Engineers
Directs technical activities of assigned CAD designer and technicians
Designs, develops, analyzes, documents, and supports testing of products, systems, or subsystems
Implements design to cost and weight
Apply Earned Value principles and working with management EVMS-related activities is critical
Participating in the preparation of complex proposals
Expected to guide one or more engineers
Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Proactively identifies and mitigates risk
Incorporates customer requirements into planning and work.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
6-8 years of experience in project management and engineering activities
2-3 years of experience working with earned value management principals and EVMS systems
2-3 years experience as a project engineer or project manager for military defense programs
Experience with CAD Software tools and processes
Education:
BS Engineering from an accredited school
Master's degree and/or PE license preferred.
Must be a us or naturalized citizen to support US Defense programs
