Description:
Perform and coordinate the various engineering activities required for CSeries certification:

Write and review test plans and reports for interior certification.

Coordinate and supervise certification tests (laboratory tests), and perform various measurements and calculations to evaluate compliance with the criteria contained in the standards.

Review internal and vendor test plans to ensure that they capture the correct configuration of the change to be made, test the correct components, and perform the tests in the right way to demonstrate the configuration or change meets the required standards of airworthiness.

Write and revise certification reports to demonstrate that the configuration elements are in compliance with Ministry of Transportation standards.

Act as interior experts by evaluating interior designs produced by engineering and ensuring that they meet Transport Canada standards for airworthiness.

Work with the Design Approval Designee (DAD's), the engineering specialists, the flammability engineers, as well as with the design, integration and support teams.

Support and coordinate the review of certification deliverables.

Provide visibility on their status, tracking the number of review cycles required for each deliverable.

University degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 11 years applicable experience in an aerospace environment.

Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (AWM 525, 14CFR Part 25, CS 25), particularly those related to Occupant Safety.

Familiar with aircraft design, certification and manufacturing.

Familiar with aerospace industry standards such as SAE specifications, Military and Federal specifications, etc.

Good oral and writing skills in French and English are required, both written and spoken, is an asset.

Must be a team player.

Must also be a person with initiative and good planning skills, strong sense of responsibility, strong negotiation skills and good judgment.

Good communication skills, who are willing to accept responsibilities in a team-working environment.

Must be able to interact constantly with other professionals, technicians, suppliers, and representatives from TCCA, FAA and/or EASA.

Have a good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access).

Have a practical knowledge of CATIA V5 Browser, an asset.
