Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Work Site Address: Carlstadt NJ

Position Type: Contract

25% - Develop detailed instructions/planning by following established manufacturing procedures and insuring compliance to Engineering Drawings and Specifications and SH&E procedures.

25% - Identify all tooling and support equipment required for fabrication. Design tooling and equipment, prepare requisitions and manage activity to ensure all tooling is available to support production schedules.

20% - Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting of manufacturing operations associated with all aspects of manufacturing of pressure vessels.

5% - Attend daily production meeting communicating status of planning tooling and issues associated with assigned projects.

10% - Perform root cause analysis and implement robust corrective action.

5% - Collaborate with Engineering on new product development.

10% - Identify and lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean methodology and tools including Kaizen, 3P, and VSM.
Job Description

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and at least eight (8) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work in Autocad and Solidworks is required. Candidate must have experience/knowledge in at least some of the following manufacturing processes:

machining
welding
heat treating
pressure testing
chemical processing of metals
precision cleaning
