Description: PDS Tech is seeking a candidate for the Material Handler Level 3 position located in San Jose, CA. Persforms a wide range of warehousing activities, including work order and sales order processing, material handling and storage of raw materials and finished products, and maintenance of inventories. Provide support for stockroom, receiving, shipping, service, and manufacturing departments. Must be able to efficiently and accurately complete work assignments, must be reliable, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . • Pulling of sales orders, work orders, and issuance of materials from inventory. • Perform daily cycle counts, stock reflenishments, and inventory consolidation. • Filling of backorders for sales orders and work orders. • Update low inventory and out of stock report. • Perform Shipping and Receiving functions. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety regulations. QUALIFICATIONS (Specific training, knowledge, application, and/or management skills required to perform the duties of this position)
• Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in the manufacturing work environment performing stockroom, shipping and receiving functions. • Strong knowledge of warehousing duties and procedures. • Good organizational skills including ability to manage time, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks. • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to operate independently and as well as part of a team. • Knowledge of computerized inventory control/management. • Knowledge of UPS, FEDEX Powership systems. • Oracle software experience a plus. • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipments. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
High School diploma or GED required Steel toed shoes required
Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Special Considerations: Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions. Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated. Operation of a Powered industrial truck is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.
