System Engineer

Description:
Technical expertise with best-in-class systems engineering capability enabling our functional org to excel in meeting its business objectives. The Requirements Management pillar of Core Services focuses on providing expertise in the development and management of requirements and interfaces for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support critical program objectives.

Our Analysts will:

1) Have a detailed working knowledge of Air Vehicle systems including Airframe, Propulsion, Subsystems, Landing Gear, Electrical Wiring and Equipment and, Mission Systems as well as equipment, and components whose primary function is mechanical in nature. Examples include: arresting and landing gear, auxiliary power, crew escape, canopy, aerial delivery, cockpit displays, environmental control, fire protection, flight control, fuel, hydraulic, wheels/tires/brakes, life support, mechanical systems (e.g., door drives), pneumatic, and electro-mechanical elements of electrical power and wiring systems that conduct power or data between major components, connectors, and sub-components.

2) Lead Requirements Flowdown Activity including Verification and support development of Interfaces for ADME Subsegments. This includes development, release and maintenance of Allocated and Product Baseline level Specifications.

3) Liaison between Subsegments and System Engineering assisting requirement derivation, flowdown, compliance and verification efforts at the Customer, Functional and Allocated baseline levels.

4) Coordinate Requirements Management efforts with other Core Processes pillars including Supplier Development, Risk Management & EVM to maximize IPTs’ overall success.

5) Develop best practices including metrics and reports to track requirements and interface development against program milestones as well closure of gaps and compliance items.

6) Prepare data and present requirements flowdown status and compliance/risk at key customer milestones: milestones (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, PRR).

7) Utilize DOORS as the main tool to perform all requirements and interface development as well as document release.

The Core Services Requirements Development Analyst would be responsible for concurrently shepherding multiple IPTs as described above, perhaps spanning multiple programs and ADME groups with subsequent exposure to multiple Program and Functional Management Teams.

Experience/Qualifications:

Will demonstrate many or all of the following qualifications:
• BS in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Requirements Management
• Experience in leading and executing complex tasks
• Experience in Requirements Management and Systems Engineering is a required
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and working level teammates.
• Highly motivated and flexible individual with a track record of demonstrated results.
• Must be proficient in using DOORS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Access.
