Description:
Job Title: Fabrication Specialist B
Duration: 12 Months (With possibility of extension)
Location: West Jordan, UT
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Possibility for overtime)

Job responsibilities:
• Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
• Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
• Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
• Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
• Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
• Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
• Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
• Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
• Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
• Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

Education / Experience:
• High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience in one of the following areas:
• Aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
• Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment.
• Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer.
• HM is looking for candidates who are mechanically inclined, familiar with many hand and power tools, familiar with measurement tools, and have manufacturing experience.
• Selected candidates will be producing airplane parts in a role that can vary from detail parts machining to sub-assemblies to larger assemblies.

• This position is on-site and there are 1st and 2nd shifts available.
