Under general direction, this position performs system administration duties related to the company's information technology equipment. Installs and maintains personal computers, related peripheral equipment, application software and communications equipment. Persons in this position must be competent to work independently at the highest level on all phases of technology support duties. An individual in this position regularly works under deadlines with heavy workloads where errors may cause substantial delay, expense, inefficiency, and disruption of service to users. This position also performs hands-on involvement in daily activities. This is an exempt position that may require in excess of a 40-hour week in order to effectively carry out the listed job duties.


  1. Responsible for acquisition, deployment, management and support of all client based information technology assets including: desktops, laptops, telephones, and peripheral equipment and accessories.
  2. Responsible for acquisition, deployment, management and support of all client based information technology software including: operating systems, desktop productivity software, and other business applications.

  1. Assists with planning, implementation and configuration of infrastructure hardware and software, within area of responsibility, to include monitoring and maintenance of telecommunications, voicemail, server, and network.
  2. Supply technical support for CAD/SolidWorks/PDM, ERP, and CRM software, acting as a focal point for inquiries from multiple users and interfacing with internal IT and external vendor support.
  3. Responsible for the development of standard software deployment procedures, configurations, and packages.
  4. Performs helpdesk services for internal customers; provides effective solutions to customer problems in a professional and timely manner. This includes the development and maintenance of IT-related procedures, documentation, and general usability instructions.
  5. Provides patching, disaster recovery, upgrades, and other preventative maintenance functions, as needed. Supports and provides lifecycle management of equipment such as infrastructure, telephones, copy machines, etc.
  6. Setup and connection of user to network and telephone system and provide initial training in facilities and applications.
  7. Advises appropriate personnel of the implications of new or revised applications/databases (change requests). Performs necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine request feasibility.
  8. Participates in internal consulting, system analysis, general system design and detail system design.


  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration with a specialization in computer science with minimum of 2 years of information systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, such as Windows Server, Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft Office, and hosted offerings.
  • Must be able to detect, diagnose, and prioritize hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of security practices, both desktop and server, as well as general networking technologies are strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of landline, hosted, and cellular telephone communication technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse population, in person, and through electronic correspondence.
  • Must have flexibility to work hours required to meet project/intemal customer goals and support any planned or unplanned downtime.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent internal customer service.
