Project Engineer 4

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Engineer 4 for an opportunity in Berkeley, MO.

Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. Works with customers and management to obtain approval. Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules. Leads project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned. Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities

•Coordinates between the Emerging Radar team’s active and future projects

•Ensures both technical & non-technical coordination occurs between projects

•Takes tasking from project leads and Emerging Radar manager

Project Specific Tasking

•Ensures both technical & non-technical coordination occurs between IPT, program and Supplier as appropriate

•Coordinates with functional teams to ensure they are accountable and their products are acceptable quality

•Reports status of our team’s/Supplier progress

•RIO, RFNIU, proposal focal and other non-technical SME efforts

•3+ years of experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor programs.

•3+ years of experience with BORIS

•Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

•Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
•3+ years of experience participating in proposal development, generation, review and submittal for a military customer.

•3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management

•3+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in an aerospace environment

•3+ years of experience in a project engineering role

•Capable to travel 25% of the time to Los Angeles, CA and/or Oklahoma City, OK.

Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standards.

Up to travel 25% of the time to Los Angeles, CA and/or Oklahoma City, OK.

Full-Time/First Shift

Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

Candidate will need to be local or willing to relocate as his is a hybrid position. Possibility for extension.
