Manage mid level complexity engineering management and project management for technical process improvement projects. Responsibilities include developing productivity tools, managing documentation, tracking schedules.

Job Description:
This site position will play a key role in the implementation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) systems. The candidate must have knowledge of discrete manufacturing in an automated environment, with a demonstrated track record of proficiency with MES/OEE and continuous improvement/process engineering.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the development and training of the manufacturing OEE strategy for the plant and each of the Value Streams utilizing OEE framework to capture and manage execution of the strategic actions.
• Support plant-wide framework for OEE and SMART Manufacturing implementation and facilitate the execution of this strategy.
• Manage the execution and maintenance of Visual Management tools including OEE dashboards, OEE reports(Tableau).
• Maintain, compile, analyze, and report metrics of improvement projects from Machine Data Collection (CIMCO) captures.
• Coordinate, assist, and deliver team-based OEE and SMART Factory training to Value Stream leadership and staff including operators.
• Identify and implement OEE activities on the shop floor to produce bottom line savings in coordination with Value Stream MEs and CIs.
• Coordinate with resource departments including Corporate Project Management and Corporate IT on issues relating to OEE implementation.
• Assist in the development of programs/systems/processes and equipment upgrades that improve equipment reliability/OEE (e.g., preventive and predictive maintenance systems, techniques and schedules, material recommendations, troubleshooting guides, repair plans, training, spare parts, etc.).
• Interacting with multiple departments including but not limited to Corporate IT, Planning, Plant Production Teams, and MES/OEE Vendors.
• Provide “On-call” rotating support for MES/OEE systems to assure 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Training super and end users on functionality and process changes as they relate to MES/OEE.
• Trouble shooting daily operational system issues to define root cause, working in collaboration with business partner to create temporary/permanent solutions
• Organize, schedule and run meetings to coordinate on-site commissioning, identifying opportunities and system needs
• Monitor process and technology and provide insights into overall status

Position Requirements:
• Successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering/Computer Technology field with at least 3 years of experience working preferably in the aerospace, automotive, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Experience with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and MES implementation highly desired.
• Knowledge and experience with MES technologies. Solumina, and SAP would be preferable.
• Experience in rolling out continuous improvement projects including OEE, SMED, TPM, Six Sigma
• Excellent problem solver with the ability to keep many driving factors and requirements in focus
• Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to communicate and interact at various levels of organization.
• Installation and configuration standard as well as an understanding of project management and following project phases including requirements definition, detailed design generation, software configuration, system integration and qualification testing.
• Knowledge of control systems is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in diverse, multi-disciplined work groups.
• Experience and/or substantial understanding of process control principles and common system vendors’ available products.
• Excellent written and communication skill are required.
