Advanced Software Configuration Management Specialist

We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:

Advanced Software Configuration Management Specialist
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Orlando, FL

• Define and utilize software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally acquired software products
• Compiles, assembles and packages software from source code
• Prepare for and run Software Change Control Board meetings; may supports Systems Change Control Board meetings
• Create/review and approve Software documentation
• Maintain a flexible schedule to work off hours, remotely, as needed by program needs
• Define and implement build requirements & procedures used to support software product development and use
• Develop software configuration management standards for company wide use
• Track and maintain Third Party Software (TPS) library, including license counts and usages
• Audit TPS data against Software Bills of Material and review all Purchase orders and eSACs in support of usage
• Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools in support of company Configuration/Data Management policies and best practices
• Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
• Work with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule, then initiate the build and packaging process
• Support development of program plans, Configuration/Data Management Plans and proposals

• Required – active Secret clearance. Candidates without clearance will not be considered.
• Required – successfully pass a credit check
• Considerable understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field
• General knowledge of other related disciplines
• Solid time management skills
• Highly proficient in the use of all MS Office Suite applications
• Proficient in Software Configuration Management Applications
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Grasps and applies new information quickly; handles more complex assignments
• Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
