Leave of Absence Administrator

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Leave of Absence Administrator for an opening in Tempe, AZ.

The Leave of Absence Administrator oversees the administration of leaves of absence including FMLA, Short Term and Long Term Disability, Military Leave and ADA requirements. This team member will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and administering all claims, report generation, timely communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel and internal legal counsel, if necessary.
• Serve as main point of contact for employee relationships as it relates to leaves of absence and ADA
• Review and resolve escalated personal and FMLA leave of absence issues
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines by staying abreast of current requirements and trends, and communicating and implementing changes necessary to remain compliant
• Responsible for communicating approvals, denials, return to work and other important information to team members, supervisors/ managers and Human Resources
• Responsible for advising and training other HR team members, as well as Managers and Supervisors regarding LOA/ADA laws, process, and policy
• Create and/or facilitate and distribute end-user reports as needed, with various frequency & formats
• Work with Legal department to determine eligibility for ADA requests based on medical certification and questionnaire completed by physician, as well as termination issues
• Accurately and diligently track and report LOA/ADA data
• Perform various other HR related duties as assigned

• 3-5 years’ recent experience in Human Resources overseeing Leave of Absence management and ADA
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations
• Knowledge of US government regulations (i.e. EEO, FLSA, ADA, FLMA, etc.) and Healthcare laws applicable to the position (i.e. HIPAAP)
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, and other HRIS or database software applications required (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience with HR functions and best practices in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience administering and understanding employee benefits programs
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Team player with ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of people
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail, with a heightened sense of urgency
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Accredited Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and HR Certification (preferred) as well as professional HR training
