Structural Design Engineer

Description:
One of our top clients is seeking a Structural Engineer that is outgoing and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you can design structural detail parts and you have 5 years of experience, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:
* Design of structural detail parts, assemblies and installations, as well as, systems installations for aircraft.
* Responsible for development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities of assigned subordinate engineers.
* Support of manufacturing operations and customers in resolving technical problems related to the aircraft structure and systems.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
* Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.
* Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident.
* Proficient with CATIA V5.
* Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
* Must be able to coordinate efforts with little or no supervision across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, R&M, Material, Flight Sciences, Test, manufacturing, and other Design IPTs.
* Must have aerospace design experience with knowledge of configuration management techniques, drafting/drawing conventions, and aerospace specifications and procedures.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor OR Above Degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline.
* 5 or more years experience in the design of aircraft structures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics:
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
