*Job Description:
Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Sensor Model Developer to provide modeling and simulation development and analysis in support of multiple programs. Responsible for developing analytical software, primarily in C++, in a real-time, Linux modeling and simulation environment to evaluate system performance, conduct platform integration, and specify the operational benefits of advanced concepts in complex operational scenarios. Candidate will develop models and simulations, integration those models with other simulations in a platform level laboratory environment, execute analysis plans, and develop reports describing analysis findings.

*Required Skills:
• Experience developing C++ software in a Linux environment
• Experience with computer modeling and simulation in a real-time environment
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills

Desired Skills:
• Experience with model and simulation development at the sensor or airborne platform level
• Experience conducting performance analysis and simulation of airborne sensors or mission systems
• Strong grasp of mathematics and statistics, including multivariate calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics
• Proficiency with scientific computing environments, models, and/or simulations such as the following: MATLAB, Simulink, MathCAD, AREPS, NVTHERM, ExtendSim
• Experience in Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments
• Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and to represent their employment (verbally, graphically, and in simulations)
• Experience with software development within an Agile development framework

*Required Education: (This is the minimum level of education or degree and major required for the position.)
• B.S. degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering or related technical major.

Desired Education: (This would be any additional education and/or major that would be considered.)
• M.S. degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering or related technical major.
