Subcontracts Administrator - Aerospace/Defense

Description:
Summary:
An Administrator will be responsible for the procurement of subcontracts including the management of cost, schedule and performance parameters.
1. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.
2. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment and maintains necessary records.
3. Participate in the development of subcontract specifications, Statements of Work for the procurement of specialized sub-assemblies, equipment, and/or services necessary to support manufacturing in the production of our products and the operation of our organization.
4. Lead a Decision Matrix Analysis team to make best value decisions for source selection
5. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
6. Manage suppliers for risk including but not limited to price, quality, delivery and relationship.
7. Create and maintain a CPSR Compliant folder meeting all the requirements of FARs and DFARS including price and cost analysis.
8. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions or modifications to subcontracts.
9. Select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving goals and objectives.
10. Communicates regularly with suppliers, program teams and senior leadership regarding supplier performance and risk.

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS with 5+ years' Professional experience with contracts in the Defense/Aerospace Industry.
• Ability to obtain Secret US Government Security Clearance.
• Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
• Previous Contract Management experience
• Demonstrated Communication Skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet departmental deadlines and goals

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Government Procurement Experience.
• Supplier Management/Project management
• Experience with MRP Tools.
• Experience with Long Term Agreements and/or Blanket Purchase Agreements.
• Experience in Negotiations, Terms & Conditions.
