Fly by Wire Control Law Design Engineer - Eng Contractor 4

Description:
Inconen is looking for a Fly by Wire Control Law Design Engineer - Eng Contractor 4 for our client, a well-known Aerospace Company, in Savannah, GA.

Unique skills required:
1. This position requires a candidate with work experience in augmented air vehicle control system design, simulation and analysis using state of the art techniques in linear and non-linear modeling and analysis.

A Control Law Engineer will:
1. Establish requirements for control systems functionality, integrity, availability and performance to ensure flight safety and Part 25 certification.
2. Support design and analysis for fly-by-wire primary and automatic flight control laws.
3. Develop, document, and inspect fly-by-wire control law models for the purposes of flight dynamics analysis.
4. Conduct, analyze the results and document simulation laboratory tests of the fly-by-wire primary and automatic flight control laws.
5. Support flight test activities, including validation and verification of control law design troubleshooting/revising control laws as required.
6. Qualified Candidates will have experience with augmented airplane control law design, modeling, and analysis along with MATLAB & Simulink fluency.

The Preferred candidate will have:
1. Knowledge of stability and control and application of handling qualities criteria to control system design.
2. Experience with 14 CFR Part 25 certification.
3. Use of IBM DOORS.
4. Experience working with ARP4754A, DO-178B.
5. Requirements Development Experience

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

Position Purpose:
Guides successful completion of major engineering programs, or conceives research in areas of considerable scope and complexity supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Selects appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues 2. Is consulted extensively by associates and others as a recognized authority within the field 3. Anticipates and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways, developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities 4. Approach to problem solving balances technical product, cost and schedule 5. Works without appreciable direction; work is reviewed from a long-range perspective for desired results 6. Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments, and makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative

Additional Functions: 1. Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Advanced degree in engineering, or related curriculum preferred. The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
