Industrial Engineer
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a renowned leader in the aviation and aerospace industry to hire an experienced Industrial Engineer for an exciting opportunity supporting the prestigious Executive Fleet Program in San Antonio, TX.

Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6-Month Consultant Assignment
Schedule: 1st Shift, 4x10 Schedule (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday)
Pay Rate: Starting at $36 to $46 per hour
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
As an Industrial Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing operations, driving schedule recovery initiatives, and enhancing production efficiency across executive aircraft programs. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you'll analyze complex manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop innovative solutions that reduce costs, improve quality, and accelerate delivery performance.
Your expertise will directly influence operational success by helping teams overcome constraints, optimize workflows, and achieve production goals in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Develop and implement operating plans and recovery plans to support production goals.
Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering principles to improve overall production performance.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing environment.
Create and maintain models, databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to evaluate operational performance.
Conduct statistical, trend, and production-impact analyses to support business decisions.
Develop meaningful metrics, dashboards, and executive-level summaries for leadership teams.
Analyze staffing requirements and workload demands to support operational planning.
Evaluate capacity, capability, throughput, workflow, and logistics performance.
Perform constraint-based and critical-path analysis to identify production bottlenecks.
Support supplier and make-versus-buy evaluations, risk assessments, and capacity planning activities.
Analyze manufacturing layouts and material flow to improve productivity.
Partner with production teams, engineering, leadership, suppliers, and support organizations to gather data and implement improvements.
Observe manufacturing operations and aircraft production processes to identify enhancement opportunities.
Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Planning, Scheduling, or Project Management
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Experience with manufacturing operations, production planning, engineering drawings, specifications, and Lean methodologies
Proficiency with one or more of the following:
Python
SQL
SAS
VBA
Minitab
Ability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX
Ability to walk manufacturing environments, stand for extended periods, enter aircraft via stairs or ladders, and lift up to 35 pounds
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Candidates with the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:
Aerospace or aircraft manufacturing experience
Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as IVT
Knowledge of scheduling tools, including Aurora
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
Experience leading or conducting time studies and presenting findings to leadership
Cost Account Management experience
Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
Advanced manufacturing process improvement experience
