Receiving Quality Inspector

Description:
Morson International is currently recruiting for a Receiving Quality Inspector for a fantastic opportunity in the Amarillo area in TX, this is a great opening for Receiving Quality Inspector to join a global company and work on some of the latest designs in the aviation industry, specifically Helicopters.

SUMMARY
The incumbent has to have experience in an aerospace company of Receiving Inspection as Inspector . The responsibilities quality inspect incoming materials with reference to Technical documentation, designs, process specifications and delivery documentation from vendors. Then affix quality assurance stamping. If not met, then originate non-conformity. • Works effectively with engineers, supervisors, managers and production personnel to resolve inspection planning issues, achieve team objectives and promote quality principles.

Responsibilities:
• The personnel responsible for Receiving inspection will have responsibilities to quality inspect incoming materials with reference to Technical documentation, designs, process specifications and delivery documentation from vendors.
• Reviews Engineering requirements and production planning to perform inspection.
• Works effectively with engineers, supervisors, managers and production personnel to resolve inspection planning issues, achieve team objectives and promote quality principles.
• Prepares detail inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection, results including deviations from engineering specifications.
Optional:
• Writes and maintains first article inspection plans and inspection planning imbedded within production planning.
Skills:
• The individuals should have experience in general warehouse operations, be able to perform inspections on incoming parts:
• CATIA V6 experience is an added advantage. CATIA V5 experience is acceptable.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering design requirements / Blue prints .
• Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and the application of AMSE Y14.5M applicable to general practices in metallic parts / advanced composites.
• Aerospace component experience in metal parts / machined / forged / cast / welded parts / Composites.
• Should be familiar with processes and specifications
• Use of Inspection Equipment such as micrometer, caliper, height gage, V blocks, plug gages.
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%
Optional:
• Extensive experience with AS9100 requirements, inspection planning and techniques.
• Inspection of complex parts using advanced measuring and layout instruments and equipment, visual and mechanical inspection methods.
Education: BS Degree (preferred) or Associate degree in engineering.
Years of Experience: 5+ yrs. Required. Aerospace industry experience is needed. Especially in Receiving inspection and quality operations. Any quality certifications will be an added advantage.
Location Of work: Amarillo, Texas.
Citizenship: Due to the nature of work involved, US Citizenship is a requirement
