Project Planner III

Assignment Scope: Responsibilities:
Planning and maintaining the rig work activities utilizing optimization tool. Collaborate with Reservoir Development Drilling, Wells, Operations, Exploration, Integrated Ops and Capital Projects teams to make sure the rig work activities are successfully planned and executed safely and on time. Identify scheduling opportunities in early stage of planning phase. Serve as subject matter expert for rig Sim-Ops and rig schedule process management of change. 

Key Accountabilities
•             Manage the rig schedule planning meeting and optimization including rig work activities Fracs and well testing activities
o             Rig schedule coordination, optimization and communication
o             Rig work activity milestone readiness prior to execution, funding, design, resources
o             Responsible for rig schedule process, management of change and schedule break-in feasibility
•             Integrated schedule and optimization for Reservoir Development and Drilling and Wells organizations
o             Validating that rig work, frac and well testing are synchronized to the integrated schedule in order to identify and solve schedule conflict in early stages of planning
o             Be aware of rig blackout dates and road digs based on Ops activities
•             Manages the rig schedule optimization tool (Actinen DSO) as well as proficiency in P6 to allow integration with the larger organization integrated plan
o             Develop new ideas to improve scheduling efficiency
•             Point of contact and subject matter expert for rig work activities and identifies simultaneous operation opportunities in early planning phase
o             Responsible for any same drill site, two rig sim-ops and opportunity identification and optimization. Per Operations sim-ops procedure, any activity Simops need to be communicated and approved prior to execution
o             Same drill site sim-ops between a rig and frac activities optimization
•             Facilitate the long-range rig strategy planning meetings
o             Collaborate with Dev an Exploration teams to collect schedule forecasts
o             Work with drilling, wells and development teams to put together 2 year rig strategy plan
•             Serves as subject matter expert supporting new drill sites development programs and new rig builds
o             ERD support sim-ops and layouts
•             Collaborates effectively with the IT and rig schedule software developer to create an automated rig schedule
o             Responsible for DSO software upgrades and rig schedule data integration
o             Provide DSO training to new users
•             Support the POP (Place on Production) team communicating the rig schedule changes
o             Identify and solve drill site sim-ops opportunities between drilling rigs, fracs and Ops activities to maintain POP targets
o             Communicate rig release dates and schedule changes to CPO and Ops in order to allocate resources, better prepare for execution and reduce POP time
•             Track and provide equipment and bed space forecast reports if requested
o             Rig support equipment allocation. Facilitate meetings with GKA Ops and drilling regarding rig support equipment allocation during Exploration season
o             Provided support for bed space forecasting and communicated to aviation team when requested by drilling
•             Create high rig schedule level reports and presentation for management
o             Create and present rig schedule scenarios for different groups for management to make planning decision
o             Support planning team with rig schedule
•             Track drill rig schedule key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as; schedule break-ins, break-outs, saves, summer rig moves, travel miles, variance analysis etc.
•             And, many other tasks requested by Drilling & Wells, Reservoir Development, Ops CPO and Exploration teams including rig layouts on wells, rig staging areas for stack out, schedules, rig schedule data, etc.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experienced level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
• PMP preferred.
• Bachelors degree.
• Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.
• Makes decisions within broad parameters.
• Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.

Travel to North Slope: 20%
