TRAX Technical Writers (Remote Work) - Jensen Beach, FL

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is hiring TRAX Technical Writers in Jensen Beach, Florida. Opportunity for remote work is available for this position.

Job Duties:

• The Technical Writer reports to the Director of Maintenance Programs and Reliability and is responsible for all aspects of technical writing
• This includes reading, understanding, and authoring customized work instructions for use by technicians on the upkeep and maintenance of part 121 aircraft
• Organizing and creating task cards for multiple inspections from multiple source documents is required
• The right candidate is able to maintain focus and multitask with up to 2 fleets at once and maintain a throughput of up to, but not limited to, 10 task cards per day

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ recent experience authoring task cards in TRAX utilizing TRAX Doc and ADOC
• Experience with task card signature requirements for part 121 operators
• 3 years’ experience writing technical manuals (AMM, IPC, etc.) or job cards for an airline or OEM
• 5 years’ experience in a technical role in the aviation industry at an airline or OEM
• Experience using word processing editors such as MS Word or Framemaker
• Experience using publishing tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Framemaker
• Experience with XML editors such as Notepad++ or Arbortext
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain required production goals
• Excellent attention to detail with little to no defects in deliverable documents
• A&P License or 4 year college degree
• Requires familiarity with large transport category aircraft including the Airbus A320
• In depth understanding and knowledge of all aircraft manuals including, but not limited to: AMM, IPC, SRM, and MRBR is necessary
