Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Writer Editor 3's located in Mesa, AZ

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Information Services (IS) assists employees across Client to create, access, understand, harness, manage, and disseminate engineering, scientific and technical information. IS optimizes the latest developments in information management strategies to support Client innovation and competitiveness, delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions on a global scale. Information Services collaborates with business partners across Client to make sure that the right information gets to the right people in the most efficient way.

As experts in information management and licensing of technical and business information, IS ensures the proper authentication, archival, management, curation, distribution, storage, and retrieval of data throughout the information life cycle.
To help Client users organize and retrieve this data, IS has a requirement to secure onsite personnel with experience in and knowledge of Technical Communication. Examples of aerospace technical communication include, but are not limited to
oDocuments used in aircraft testing, certification, and delivery.
oDocuments used to support inquiries from the Federal Aviation Administration.
oDocuments used to support inquiries from the Federal Communications Commission.
oOnline help for internal software applications.
oSoftware user and administrator guides.
oRequirements documents.
oTest use cases and test results.

The Candidate must be able to
oAnalyze the business partners' technical communication needs.
oCommunicate and present information professionally and effectively.
oShare knowledge and contribute to the development of technical communication products and services.
oBe proficient in a variety of technical communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, RoboHelp, WebWorks) and techniques (e.g., SME interviews; outlining; editing to a style standard; expert-level knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; writing in the abstract; writing drafts and revisions), demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
oBe equally comfortable working in solitude as well as in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Job Skills:
The ideal candidate:
oWrites, edits, and proofreads technical content.
oGathers input and reconciles conflicting comments.
oVerifies consistency and clarity of communication.
oAdheres to Client guidelines for proprietary, export controlled, and classified content; (e.g., proper levels of security markings, handling of content).
oEnsures compliance with Client standards for editing, communication, and branding as outlined in the Client style guide and Client Brand Center.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Basic Qualifications:
oFive or more years' experience creating technical content, including processes, procedures, online help, software user manuals, certification documentation, and test documentation.
oAbility to write content in clear, concise English with attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, and single voice of authorship.
oProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe technical communication products.
oAbility to distinguish between subjective and objective writing, and to produce technical documentation accordingly.
oAbility to meet project block points and deadlines.
oExperience writing to standards and style guides.
oTechnical writing degree or certificate from an accredited university or training provider.
oExperience creating technical content for aerospace, telecommunications, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, software, or similar industry.
oFamiliarity with content-for-reuse methodologies and applications, such as DITA applications that create XML-based content.
oExperience working with business partners virtually, including distributed and global team members.
oExperience working with subject matter experts and other resources who have in-depth domain knowledge, with a demonstrated ability to extract and transform that knowledge into objective prose communicated in quantitative terms, with fidelity to the conceptual meaning of the originator.
