Category Manager (2) - TX

Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Sr. Buyers located in Dallas, TX

oDemonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity in all supplier transactions.
oEffectively manages supplier and category performance, including development of policies and procedures for each commodity.
oLeads negotiations with suppliers, utilizing a strong background in fundamental sourcing skills.
oLeads cross-functional Teams for category specific projects delivering significant budgetable savings and efficiencies.
oParticipates in development and management of policies and procedures around complex commodities.
oNegotiates and drafts complex contracts.
oSkilled in performing difficult analysis, interpreting results, and providing effective recommendations.
oDetermines and implements appropriate levers to achieve best price, balancing cost with operational considerations.
oCreates and implements project or work plans for assigned categories and holds others accountable to plan.
oResearches assigned categories and commodities for new developments.
oLeads improvement initiatives.
oSeeks out challenges and additional responsibilities.
oMust be able to manage multiple project opportunities simultaneously.
oMust be able to deliver effective and convincing presentations.
oDevelops and manages supplier relationships.
oWorks with limited supervision.
oInterfaces with Legal, Tax, Risk Management, Finance, and others as necessary.

oEnterprise level software procurement experience required.

oStrong technology negotiation & contract drafting skills.
oStrong organizational and project management skills (identifies activities, sets deadlines, measures progress).
oCustomer Service driven / strong relationship building skills.
oDisplays self-confidence.
oSkilled in the use of MS Office Suite.
oStrong written and verbal communication skills.
oAbility to lead, drive, and adapt to change.
oStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret results / ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
oDemonstrates sound decision making abilities / focuses on the big picture / thinks strategically.
oTakes ownership and accountability.
oAbility to resolve conflicts.
oStrong project, meeting facilitation, and change management skills.
oPositively influences the behavior of others / coaches and mentors others.
Candidates must have experience with Cloud based services requirements and SAF contract experience

Accredited Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience required.

40 hrs. / Week
Ability to work flexible hours and meet deadlines successfully, at times with frequent interruptions.

Travel may be required.
