Duties: • Transports materials to or from storage to designated area. 60%
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on material forms. 5%
• Reads shop order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. 5%
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. 20%
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and organization in responsible areas. 10%
Skills: • Ability to use a computer and to learn business software
• Ability to convert and accurately use various units of measure (sq. feet to inches, metric to English, etc.)
• Experience working within an ISO controlled organization
Physical Demands
• Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day
• Frequently lifts or moves items over 50 pounds
Required experience:
• Material Handling: 1 year
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
